Due to a recent visit from the Fire marshall of Davidson County. The SoundVent has been put on a restriction of only holding 99 people. Due to this capacity, we cannot continue to hold the types of shows that we have been. This is a blow to me, the venue, and a lot of other people involved. We regret it for the patrons that came out, and came out continually. Now The SoundVent will NOT be closing down. But you will not see the type of shows that we have been doing there, at The SoundVent.

This was out of our hands, no matter how hard we tried to fight it. Until a proper sprinkler system is put into the building, our occupancy will stay 99.

First, I want to thank everyone who came to shows at The Vent, who loyally supported The Vent and we hope you still will. We hate that this happened when we we’re on our way up. But again, it was totally out of our hands. We will still do shows, but they will be smaller mostly local shows. That booking will be handled differently than any other shows I may continue to do. And you will be informed soon on how to book at The SoundVent.

On a brighter side:

A lot of SoundVent shows will be moving to a new venue in Greensboro, NC. Some of you may remember this venue as The Flying Anvil but is now called Remix VIP.

You will still need to check this page for the shows & dates. And all SoundVent and or Co-promoted shows will be promoted through here.

Huge Favor?

Please, tell all your friends about this, repost this & do whatever you can to get the word out that we are still doing a lot of these shows. Some, we will not be able to do because Remix is a club of its own. But the guys at Remix we’re awesome enough to let quite a few of the shows on the calender still go on. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hoping you stick with those of us involved, through this switch over. And one day, maybe things at The SoundVent can be resolved and Thomasville will have a music scene again. Until then, we hope to see you at Remix!

Directions: From 1-85. Take Holden Road towards High Point Road. At the intersection of High Point Rd & Holden, turn right heading towards Four Seasons Mall. Stay on High Point rd, it will turn into Lee Street. You will be looking for the intersection of Lee & Eugene Street. At the light, turn left. You will take your immediate right into Remix Vip. Theres a 300+ parking lot surrounded by a fence. The Venue has a 800 + Capacity! This place is sweet, and we have more room than we ever had at The Vent. You cannot miss the Venue for it is BRIGHT YELLOW.
