We want to welcome North Carolina’s RETURN THE HERO to the Forsaken Recordings family. Return The Hero are an excellent blend of post-hardcore, metal-core, and pop indie, with rocking sing-a-longs to intense breakdowns that would start riots. Their debut release “Where The Willow Grows” will impact stores September 2008. The band will enter Sleepless Studios with producer Bill Snow (Snapcase) and engineer Drew Fulk (Advent) this month (May 2008). Following the mix, Return The Hero will head into The Basement Studios to master “Where The Willow Grows” with producer Jamie King.

I stay so busy that I don’t get to check up on my buddies as often as I’d like to but just made it by Josh Moore’s myspace this morning and got to check out his song, “Ghostly Reminders.” Absolutely amazing song. You can see for yourself right here. No cd available yet but there is a split 7″ available and he has songs available for purchase on his myspace. He’ll be playing with House Of Fools May 2nd at Greene Street Club in Greensboro so make it out if you get a chance.

For those of you who don’t know, Josh Moore used to be in Beloved and Classic Case and I loved both of those bands but his solo stuff is probably now my favorite. His songwriting has depth and emotion that aren’t easy to find in most of today’s music. Truly inspiring songs Josh and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Just because most of the politicians (democrat and republican) aren’t doing shit to help save the planet doesn’t mean you can’t do something. All of our politicians are taking money from big oil, car companies, chemical & pharmaceutical companies but very few do anything to improve the environment. No money in it I guess. So it’s up to us to do something about it. For tips on what you can do to help, go here and by all means get out and vote this year. This is probably the most important election of our lifetime so do something to make a change.
